After I listened to God’s voice, I began to evangelize to many.
July 28, 2022Bushra, 21, from Iraq
August 18, 2022At Miracle Connect, we’re always looking for new ways to connect with the people we serve. The world is changing at record speed, and though the message of the gospel never changes, there are now many ways in which it can be shared.
Radio Wow is a new brand we’ve created for men and women in their 20s and 30s. Though radio itself is nothing new, Radio Wow is streamed, 24 hours a day, through a mobile app, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
The goal of Radio Wow is to communicate with this group of young people in a new way through programs and music that they love. We discuss the challenges and dreams of their generation. We help them develop social skills, communicate with society, and think positively. We also address the sexual challenges they face.
Making a small donation today will help us develop programs and content for Radio Wow.
Switched on
Young people in the Middle East and North Africa are switched on and connected to the wider world like no other generation. Despite the heavy influence of religion, culture, and tradition, they have their own hopes, dreams, struggles, and doubts that often make daily life a challenge. Miracle Connect is there to listen, advise, love unconditionally, and speak truth into their lives.
Pray for the Radio Wow production team to be filled with the Spirit, have discernment, and be inspired to create content that changes lives in Jesus’ name.
‘I want to win my family for Christ’
Bushra*, from Iraq, contacted our team, wanting help with discipleship. At 21, she had already privately rejected the strict religion of her family and culture. Her desire for the truth had led her to faith in Christ.
‘I had an endless craving for knowledge,’ writes Bushra, ‘and a deep desire to know Jesus Christ and introduce Him to my family.’
By the time she contacted our team, Bushra had already introduced two of her relatives to Christ, including a sister. She did this despite her mother’s threat to kill her if she converted to Christianity. Bushra also rejected a tempting offer to move to Europe, where she’d be safe from persecution. ‘I want to win my family for Christ,’ she writes, ‘and if I had traveled, I would have lost them forever.’
Bushra is a natural evangelist and is sensitive to the Spirit’s leading, even to the point of changing university course. Her obedience has provided many opportunities to share about Jesus with colleagues.
‘I have been so grateful for the plans He has made for me,’ writes Bushra. ‘Now I am continuing my journey of discipleship, to know more about Jesus Christ and bring others to know Him. God bless you.’
We pray that Bushra will keep standing firm as she shines the light of Christ to her family and colleagues.
