January 8, 2013Cutting edge family program bring viewers in Syria together over bible studies in the war-torn country.
“Here and Now” is one of Miracle Channel’s four weekly live broadcasts to the Arab world. The interest for this program has always been good and several bible groups and churches in other Arab countries, such as in Egypt, have requested the programs on DVD to study them in smaller groups.- As well as others, there are several churches that come together regularly to study this program. First they will watch the program before they discuss the topic and spend time praying for each other, says Nawal.
The purpose of this particular program is to help people see themselves through God’s eyes, and not through the labels they put on themselves, she explains.
-We see that many people label themselves according to the mistakes or major events, often bad ones, that have shaped their lives. This is how they view themselves, and they are never able to move on to the healthy and productive spiritual lives God desires for us. When they understand that God views them as complete and worthy people despite their mistakes or the shame brought upon them, it brings healing and freedom, she says.
“ Yesterday’s episode was fantastic. I watched it twice. I felt relief and I have started to accept myself and to deal with some issues. This program is very practical and encouraging,” writes one of our viewers.
Another viewer adds:
“I watched today’s episode at 8 pm and the reruns at 11:45 and 3:15 am, I recorded it on my mobile and I will see it again. Your program is a gift from God for us and extremely real. I want to thank you from my heart.”
-This new Bible study group in Syria shows us two things; people get help from out television programs; people who live in war zones do not only have practical concerns and worries, they also have great spiritual needs.
So far this year, Miracle Channel has heard from 3506 viewers in Syria.
