Offering freedom from Witchcraft
March 31, 2012Muslims from Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Syria, Algeria, Kuwait, Iraq and Morocco are coming to Jesus as they have their questions about the Christian faith answered on air.
Miracle Channel’s weekly live television programs that invite Arabs and Muslims to ask questions about the bible have found a large and curious audience. The program that started in last fall has already generated hundreds of questions. We are not only finding that Muslims are coming to Christ when they have their questions answered by someone who understand where they are coming from, but we are also discovering what some of the main obstacles are that need to be addressed when communicating the gospel to the Arab world.
At least 94% of the response for this program comes from Muslims seeking to know the truth. The response has come from Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Syria, Algeria, Kuwait, Iraq and Morocco.
The numbers of questions we receive are a great indicator that viewers are interested in these questions and that many are even willing to study the Bible on their own to discover the truth.
Here are some of the questions we received after the start-up of the new season in January:
▪ Why did not God just forgive Adams first sin, so God would not have to come
as a person?
• How does God form in the womb of the virgin, full of sins and impurity?
• Does not God’s incarnation get limited in time and place?
• Why did Christianity combine both the Old Testament, and the new one? Wasn’t the New
Testament enough?
Some viewers are also calling to tell us how the program has affected their lives after watching it for some time. Here are some of their comments:
From Saudi Arabia: “Your religion is the religion of truth. I am not a Christian, but I find comfort in your words. Please pray for me.”
From Syria: “I want to know about God.”
From Algeria: “I want to know more about Jesus.”
Amel: “If Jesus is God’s son, how did he get crucified and died? That is confusing.”
Mohammed: “Talking about Christianity is confusing because we do not know anything about it, specially the Trinity. I also wanted to say that Islam is the religion of forgiveness and mercy.
From Algeria: “I admire your program, it has changed my life. I lived in sorrow for so many years but I discovered the love of Christ, which brought me healing. Please do not stop this program.”
A nearly blind Imam from North Africa called and said that he had a dream about Jesus and would like a personal visit. On this occasion we were able to send people to see him, and they had an interesting conversation. He is very intrigued by what he hears on our program and asked if he could have an audio Bible.
