My journey towards faith and accepting the Lord

I am Saed from Sudan, currently living in Egypt, and I am 27 years old. I went on the page because I was grieving the death of my 16 year old niece. I asked on the page, “Does God feel our pain?” Someone on the page shared with me about the Messiah and how He shared in our pain. Then they asked me, “Have you heard the story of Jesus before?” I replied, “Yes, I love the person of Jesus and I believed in Him when I was 20 years old. But when I went to church, and saw the lives of the people there, and began reading the Bible, I began to have some doubts… even though I wanted to find the real Jesus.” I shared my doubts and my questions surrounding the person of Jesus and the teachings of the Bible, and because of my conversations with the person on the page, I began to understand more about God The Compassionate One, who appeared in both the Old and New Testaments. I learned that faith requires both my heart and my mind. I also learned that good works on its own cannot save, but that the redemption Jesus offered by bearing the cross is necessary. So I proclaimed faith in the Lord Jesus and accepted Him as the personal Savior of my life.
