Jesus leads by example

As of April 2023, one of the largest Arabic-speaking countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) topped the charts in TikTok usage, with virtually all individuals aged 18 and above interacting with the renowned social media video platform. Another influential nation in the MENA region followed closely, also claiming an impressive reach of more than 100 percent.

Meanwhile, extremist groups are still “weaponizing blind spots” in numerous social media platforms to spread their messages of hate, and recruit new followers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Jesus was not afraid to step out beyond the norm, to go out and meet people where they were, and to speak to them in ways that were easy to understand.

Here at Miracle Connect we strive to be led by Christ’s example. We understand the important role social media plays in ministry work ‒ in connecting with people through the most popular means and in ways that resonate with them. We also realize the urgency to reach people with the loving message of Christ to counter the harmful messages that others are sharing daily.

“Follower of Christ” TikTok ministry ‒ changing lives one post at a time

This month we celebrate the one-year anniversary of Miracle Connect’s TikTok ministry.

Our TikTok account, “Follower of Christ”, shares the good news of salvation with TikTok users via a daily live broadcast. Our aim is to help new believers who have accepted the message of salvation and encourage them to join discipleship groups to study God’s Word and grow in their faith.

Our TikTok account drives viewers to connect with our counselors and receive answers to their questions about the Christian faith in plain and accessible language. “Follower of Christ” streams live on TikTok, 8-10 hours 5 days a week, devoting time to explaining the Scripture, praying and answering questions.

We cover topics such as:

●      Who is Christ, His nature, and attributes

●      The Holy Trinity (is God one or three entities?)

●      The inspiration of Scripture

●      Marriage and divorce, prayer and fasting

●      Women’s status in Christianity

●      Studying Jesus’ sermons and the Gospel

The “Follower of Christ” TikTok videos have reached a viewership of 1.8 Million in the last 3 months. So far in 2023, 25 persons have embraced the message of salvation and accepted Jesus Christ into their hearts and lives –many of whom are now attending Miracle Connect discipleship groups and growing in their faith and their walk with Christ.

Jesus uses everything to draw you close to Him

Omnia, a young woman from Egypt, discovered the love of Jesus through the “Follower of Christ” TikTok ministry. Raised in a non-Christian family, she was introduced to TikTok by a friend and found profiles discussing religion, prompting her to question her own beliefs. She found herself drawn to the “Follower of Christ” page and began engaging with Miracle Connect, asking their counselor numerous questions about the Christian faith.

The counselor shared the gospel and a link to the Bible which Omnia started reading regularly. During a particularly challenging time, Omnia prayed for help and experienced a dream in which Jesus Christ appeared to her, reciting four verses from the gospel of Matthew. Skeptical and hesitant, she experienced two more dreams featuring Jesus that left an undeniable impact.

“For the third time, in the middle of the night, Jesus came to me again and said, “My sheep hear my voice and follow me”. Later, the counselor told me that Jesus loves me, and He uses everything to draw you close to Him. I finally and joyfully gave my life to Him.”

Despite her initial skepticism, the recurring dreams and her ongoing conversations with the counselor led her to embrace Christ. Omnia then decided to join a Miracle Connect discipleship group to further explore her newfound faith and deepen her understanding of the teachings of Jesus Christ.
