Arabs are receiving Jesus live on air

Miracle Channel broadcasts live every week to an Arabic speaking audience on three continents. During the programs many viewers call the studio for prayer and accept Jesus live on air.

Recently Miracle Channel has experienced another breakthrough; Arabic viewers calling in live on air requesting prayer and giving their lives to Christ.

– The most amazing thing I see these days on the channel is the host praying on air with people who call the studio. They give their lives to Christ and invite him into their lives as they are told by the host that this is the key to freedom; not to ask for solutions for their problems only, but that Jesus is the savior and he is the only one can give set them free and give them eternal life. People pray on air with loud voices, and some are crying, says the head of programming for Miracle Channel.

She adds that these calls come in response to a program called the Alternative that deals with problems rising from occult practices and curses. It is common practice among North Africans and people in the Middle East to seek help from diviners and fortune tellers. Some viewers say their lives have been cursed and struggle to get free with little success. The Alternative points the way through the gospel to Jesus as the one who is all powerful and can break all bondages.

Women and family
The other live program is aimed at women and family related issues. The program is called ”The rest of the Story” and is one the channel’s flagship programs.
The female Arab producer who is responsible for this program says that her greatest desire is to tell other Arab women that they are valuable and created in God’s image. She says that when women hear this message many of them are able to make some basic changes in their daily lives.

-Some women manage to do this, for others the circumstances are too difficult. They may not be allowed to leave their house and there is little they can do. But a least they know that what is done towards them is wrong, and this restores some of their dignity. But we continue to hear from many, many women in a number of Arab countries who say that their lives have improved after watching these programs.

Healing and restoration
The follow-up office in Stockholm says that women from all walks of life call them and open up, many for the first time, about their personal suffering. Many say that not having anyone to talk with about violations committed against them have made their problems worse. This is particularly true while dealing with problems of abuse and violence.

-Through the counseling we provide, many have received help to accept that they are valuable children of God no matter what has happened to them. Some have continued with counseling and therapy in the countries they live in. Others have received valuable help from psychologist and doctors through our programs, explains one the councilors at the follow-up office.

A young woman who called in:
“I was raped when I was 6 years old and I have never told anyone. But today, when I watched your program, I got courage to call you even though I am scared to talk about what happened more than 20 years ago. Every day it feels like I am bleeding from my soul because of what happened. I have always felt that I have less worth than others and I suffer from a low self image. Please pray for me, and I hope I can get some help.”

A woman from Egypt who called in:
”Thanks for your live programs and especially ”They rest of the Story.” You have truly dealt with some sensitive topics. I have considered suicide twice because I had no one to talk about the evil done to me by someone who is close to me.”

Hassan from Syria:
”Thanks for your wonderful channel. I watched the testimony of a woman who said what had happened to her, and it impacted me greatly. It really stirred my soul. She gave me hope that life is not only suffering. Thank you.”
