Helping families reach their dreams
December 18, 2015Reaching Yemen with the gospel
April 16, 2016The Easter message of love and reconciliation is not lost on the Arab world. Miracle Channel engaged with over 4, 5 million Arab TV-viewers in 2015. Their desire for spiritual truth guided by love and a forgiving God is greater than their fear of persecution and death.
War and terror in the Arab world do not stop God’s plan for salvation for the Arab people. Never before has there been such openness for the Gospel among Arab-speaking people.
Arab viewers who call Miracle Channel distance themselves from acts of terrorism and violence. This is not what is in their hearts, and they do not support these acts. It also leads many of them to ask genuine questions about the Biblewhen they are exposed to the gospel.
They are attracted to Miracle Channel’s TV-programs with real people from their region sharing testimonies of how Jesus changed their lives. Our programs show how the practical application of the Bible is helping families and individuals live more satisfied lives filled with purpose and eternal hope.
Several viewers also report dreams and visions. Some say that these visitations have already led to Christ, others are wondering what their dream could mean.
The following dream was reported by a woman in the Middle East:
“I had a dream. In that dream, I went into a building, like a church. I saw a big table filled with many fine foods. I heard a voice call out to me several times. The voice asked me to come and eat. I believe this was the voice of Christ. Can you help me understand what this dream means?”
Even though the reports of these dreams have significantly increased over the past two decades, this is not a new occurrence. Among other sources, it was also reported in the writings of Lillian Trotter, a British missionary who moved to Algeria in the 18th century.
By following electronic tracks left on YouTube, the Internet, and social media, it is possible to measure viewer engagement with Miracle Channel. This gives an indication of the impact the Channel has on its viewers after they watch our television programs and move on to our social media.
At least 4, 5 million viewers engaged with us through these avenues in 2015. We had personal communication with well over 90 thousand TV-viewers.Almost all of these responses come from viewers from a non-Christian background. Well over 12 thousand requested personal follow-up, counseling or prayers for salvation. About 2000 of them are now following our discipleship programs for a deeper understanding of the Bible and their new faith.
