March 21, 2012More than 50 Arab youth participated in a recreational sports camp where they were introduced to Christ. They were all friends on Miracle Channel’s Facebook page for the television program “Connect with Me.”
– The youth had great fun while participating in sports activities, reports the producer of our Arab television series, Connect with Me. The participants were chosen among the thousands of friends that the program’s Facebook page has generated since November of 2011. They were attending the first of several camps that are intended to help the youth connect with God and each other while building friendships and faith.
– One day in particular we talked about how Jesus suffered for our sins, and the youth were visibly touched by what they heard. One evening at a gathering when they were invited to come forward for prayer, 41 of the 51 youth came to the front. The others were praying in their seats, says the producer.
The youth program ”Connect with me” got a large following from the start, and after four months on air the program’s Facebook page has 21 455 friends, a number that increases week by week. The program announces a new competition every week, and the entry on the program’s Facebook that receives the most likes wins the competition.
Here are a few samples of the interaction that happens of the program’s Facebook page:
