Samira, 17, in Algeria

In Algeria, Samira*, aged 17, lives with her father and stepmother. Her mother died some time ago and her father remarried, but her stepmother shows no love and regularly beats her.

‘I have been so lonely and considered ending my life,’ shares Samira, who contacted our team after coming across a Facebook post that said we’re here to listen and help.

Samira got in touch and was told, ‘God is for you, you are loved, you are not alone.’ She came to believe these words.

‘I am not alone,’ writes Samira. ‘God loves me and He sent Jesus Christ to redeem me. He will never leave me.’

Since accepting Jesus as her Savior, Samira says she has experienced ‘inner peace that has overwhelmed her heart.’
