Jesus is the One who can save us from doom

My name is Ahmed from Morocco, and I am 34 years old. I was chatting with someone at Miracle, and they asked me what fasting means to me? And if worship only happens for one month out of the year? At that point my understanding was that fasting helps us earn forgiveness for our sins. Then they continued by asking me why God created us? And if the natural world was pure and without blemish? And if it is us who are corrupt? I had thought that repentance on it’s own could be enough, but now I realized that repentance and good works don’t help, as long as the person has a corrupted heart. So I understood that it is only the Lord Jesus who can rescue our lives from doom. I wanted to follow him, because I was getting to know him. So I prayed with the page and accepted the Lord Jesus. Then we agreed to start reading and studying the Bible. This continues until today.
