Setting the Scene

Although times are rapidly changing in the Arab world, marriage is still a hugely important, steadfast institution.

Getting married remains high on the majority of women’s agendas, whether they are poor or come from wealthy families. There is pressure from parents and the family at large to find a good husband, and then to have children. If an Arab woman doesn’t get married and have children, shame can fall upon the whole family.

With all of this pressure, Arab women often find themselves struggling in their marriages. Let’s pray for them today.
