Overflowing with joy

“I quite often felt that God was dissatisfied with me,” shares Hafsa from Morocco. “That he did not love me because of my sins and transgressions.”

Hafsa was particularly interested in why it was so difficult to pray—why there were so many distractions making it hard for her to keep up with the “duty of prayer” that was instilled in her from a young age.

When she came across Miracle Connect’s Facebook page, Hafsa decided to ask a member of our team about these things. “The counselor spoke to me about God’s unchanging love,” says Hafsa. “It is an unconditional love, and it has nothing to do with my behavior, good or bad. I was thrilled to hear such a statement. I felt relief.”

The team member shared about what Jesus did for Hafsa on the cross. The sacrifice He made on her behalf because of God’s love for her: “She told me about God’s love, which sets free those who are bound… Then she prayed with me, and since then I’ve been reading the gospel and feeling God’s presence in my life. My heart is overflowing with joy.”

Pray that Hafsa will grow in her faith and understanding while continuing to experience the joy of knowing that she is loved by her Savior.
