Christ transforms lives

When we hear these words: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”, we may picture physical activities or goals we have in life, a stressful deadline, or a hurdle we have yet to conquer. But can we imagine these words strengthening someone who is battling depression? Can we imagine the spiritual nourishment these simple words can bring to a person or a community facing violence, instability, and no hope for the future?

So many people in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) suffer from depression, and this is due to the unstable surroundings, economy, unemployment, and lack of purpose that many struggle with.

Here at Miracle Connect we aim to help our viewers, case by case, to find strength in God’s unconditional love for them, and hope for their future. Through our counseling programs and social media pages we address viewers’ questions and offer them a platform to unload their burdens. In addition to counseling viewers online and via telephone, we also follow up and support them on the ground with one-on-one sessions. In 2023 alone we counseled almost 53K people, presenting the Gospel and offering hope in Christ.

“My name is Said, and I am 35 years old. I am from Algeria. I had suffered from depression for a long time. I remained in touch with the Miracle Connect Facebook page for about a year. The counselor provided some helpful psychological methods for handling stress. He told me that Christ can give me peace and cure me, that He is God who came in the form of a human being to cleanse us of our sins. He told me about Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection. I believed that Christ is a loving God and that only He can transform me from the inside out, and that He is not the source of the evil we witness in the world. But He provides us the peace we need to withstand everything in life. Therefore, I decided to accept Christ as God and Savior.”

●      Pray for God’s comfort and strength for those in the MENA region battling depression, that they may find emotional healing through Christ’s transformative love.

●      Pray that the powerful words “I can do all things through Christ” bring deep spiritual nourishment and hope to individuals and communities facing violence and instability.

●     Pray for the courage of individuals in the MENA region to explore and accept the message of hope in Jesus.

●      Pray for continued wisdom and effectiveness for Miracle Connect, that our counseling programs and social media platforms may successfully provide a platform for individuals to find Christ’s transformative love.
