Historical Overview
Yemen, historically known as Arabia Felix (“Happy Land”), was home to ancient kingdoms such as Saba and Himyar and thrived in the spice and incense trade, as well as the famous coffee trade in Mocha. Christianity once flourished before Islam arrived in the 7th century. Later foreign influence shaped modern Yemen, culminating in the Republic of Yemen in 1990. Despite its fertile mountains and rich heritage in poetry, music, and strong family traditions, Yemen’s history has been marked by conflict, foreign intervention, and tribal tensions that continue to shape its society.

Current Status
Since 2014, Yemen has endured a brutal civil war, leaving hundreds of thousands of dead, millions displaced, and creating one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. Most hospitals are nonfunctional, famine and disease are widespread, and extremist groups exploit the chaos. Yemen’s tiny Christian community is almost entirely hidden. Converts from Islam face extreme persecution, including arrest, torture, or death. Churches cannot exist openly, and believers worship in secret homes or small gatherings, often relying on radio, social media, and other discreet means to access Scripture.
Despite immense danger and hardship, the Yemeni Church continues to endure and grow. Believers show remarkable courage and unity, raising their children in the faith, practicing sacrificial love, and sharing the Gospel creatively. Even amid war, famine, and oppression, God is at work—bringing hope, drawing people to Christ, and sustaining a small but faithful witness in this highly restricted nation.

Testimonials
My name is “Mahmoud,” I’m 55 years old, from Yemen. I didn’t know much about the Christian faith, and one day I visited Miracle Page. There, a minister of the Lord explained to me what it means to believe in Christ. We had many discussions, and I asked him, “Does Christ’s death mean that everyone will enter heaven and no one will go to hell?” The minister then explained to me the whole story of redemption.
Afterward, he asked me, “Do you want to invite Christ into your life?” I replied, “Yes.” He prayed with me so I could repent for all the time I had been far from Christ, and so I could declare that from now on, Christ is my Lord and Savior. I began reading the Bible and learning more about life with God.

My name is Amir, I am 35 years old, from Yemen. I joined “Miracle” page because I wanted to learn about Christ, specifically about the Incarnation. The minister explained to me the purpose of the Incarnation and God’s love for humanity. I couldn’t grasp Christ’s love because, in my view, humans are sinful and do not deserve God’s mercy. Later, I had a dream where I saw the “Messenger of Muslims” with four people holding swords, chasing and killing people who were trying to escape, including myself. I fled from this dark place to another place where a man sat as if between heaven and earth, holding a cross, surrounded by some people. One of them came to me and said, “The Lord is calling you.” When I went to him, he said, “You are seeking the truth, and I came as a mercy for people, not to kill them.”
When I shared my dream with the minister, he invited me to accept Christ. I didn’t refuse his invitation, but I hesitated because the path is difficult, and I am a very sinful person. The minister then told me the story of the blind man who was told, “Take heart; get up, he is calling you.” I remained anxious, but after some time, I felt Christ’s love overwhelming me. I asked to truly follow him, prayed, and asked him to guide me on this journey. I read the passages from the Bible that the minister sent me many times, finding the words beautiful and comforting.

My name is Ali from Yemen; I am 31 years old. Throughout my life I had relationships with people of many religions such as Islam, Hinduism, and others, but I always felt peace with Christians. One day I heard about a church in Aden in southern Yemen, so I traveled there even though it was far, to learn more about Christ. But I found it destroyed. I visited the “Miracle” page, and there the minister explained to me who Christ is and why He became incarnate and was crucified. After learning, I decided to believe in Him and follow Him with all my heart

My name is Raheem from Yemen, I am 35 years old, and I used to serve as an imam in a mosque. I took pride in reciting the Qur’an because I believed it to be the word of God. I engaged with a page called (Miracle) and debated confidently, proud of my Qur’an and my Prophet Muhammad. The minister surprised me with what he presented as new in Islam, and I responded by mentioning the five pillars of Islam. Then he began to refute my words and introduced me to the Christian faith in relation to the five pillars. I was deeply drawn to the topic of prayer and strongly desired to understand how Christians pray. He began to explain why we pray and presented the problem of sin, the corruption of the human heart, and that the solution is redemption. I came to understand clearly that Christ is God incarnate, that He loved me, came to atone for my sin, and redeemed me from the punishment of destruction. He rose and conquered death. Although the idea was new, it pierced my heart. I declared my faith, prayed, and surrendered my heart to my Lord Christ. I felt happiness and peace, and doubts arose in me about Muhammad and the Qur’an. The minister explained why there is no prophet after the incarnate Christ and no revelation after God Himself revealed Himself to us. The explanation was very good and convincing, and I accepted Christ as Lord and God. Now I desire more knowledge and study, and I want to tell everyone about the incarnate Christ, my Lord and my God.

My name is Moustafa from Yemen. I am 39 years old, married, and have two daughters and a son. I visited “Miracle” page to talk with someone about my faith in Christ. There, I met a minister who began asking me how I came to know Christ. I told him it was through my own research and comparison between Islam and Christianity. I discovered that Christianity is a spiritual holiness lived by the believer with the God of love and peace.
The minister began explaining more to me about the incarnation of Christ and answered my questions. Then he asked me, “Does your wife know about your faith in Christ?” I replied, “My wife believed after me, and now both of us are studying the Bible.”
After a long conversation, the minister asked me to pray and declare my faith in Christ. He sent me a prayer, and my wife and I prayed it together. We felt an indescribable feeling, as if we were born again. I began learning more and more with him about my new faith.

My name is Gasser from Yemen; I am 21 years old. I joined Al-Qaeda when I was 18. At that time, they ordered me to kill my uncle who was one of the leaders, but I refused, and because of that I was imprisoned. Later, I managed to escape. I was curious why there is love, respect, and kindness among Christians instead of fighting, and this led me to visit the “Miracle” page. There, the minister shared with me about Christ the Savior who accepts me and can forgive all my past and sins. I decided to believe in Him and accept Him as the personal Savior of my life.

My name is Abdulrahman, and after coming to faith, my name became Daniel. I’m from Yemen and 27 years old. My journey with the Lord began five years ago, during a time when I was living in a state of atheism. Although I claimed to be an atheist, deep down I was never fully convinced. I always had a sense that there was a Creator behind our existence.
One day, I sincerely prayed and said, “If You exist, please reveal Yourself to me.” That night, I had a dream of a man bearing the sign of the cross. This dream deeply touched my heart and made me wake up thinking about the cross. I remembered it as a symbol of Christianity. That’s where my long journey of searching and studying began. It was a journey full of questions, but it ultimately led me to true faith in Christ.
Later, in March 2025, I met a brother named Nour through a page called Miracle. He spoke to me about Christ, His miracles, and how He saved us from all our sins. We prayed together, and after that, I joined a discipleship group with leaders from the team and other believers. I began studying the Bible regularly. Every chapter I read, I would write down and summarize, trying to apply what I learned in my daily life.
I also started sharing about Christ with my family, speaking to them lovingly about the faith that changed my life. Now, I’m about to take a new step in life—marriage—and I trust that the Lord is going before me in every path.
I am grateful to the Lord Jesus, who brought me out of confusion and darkness, and led me into light and eternal life.
