Loss led me to Jesus
July 28, 2024“I decided to challenge the status quo and accept the Lord.”
August 8, 2024We understand that new believers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) often face significant challenges and questions as they begin their faith journey. Feelings of rejection and uncertainty can be overwhelming. To support these brave individuals, we have created the Pastoral Care Guide, a resource dedicated to helping them navigate these early stages with confidence and hope.
This guide addresses common struggles such as dealing with rejection from loved ones, learning new ways to pray, and managing relationships with family members who may not share their new faith. By providing practical advice, compassionate answers, and personal testimonies, the Pastoral Care Guide program aims to illuminate the path for new believers, helping them move from a place of darkness to the light of a fulfilled life in Christ. Through this initiative, we are committed to walking alongside new believers on their journey.
“I decided to challenge the status quo and accept the Lord.”
My name is Omnia from Egypt, and I am 44 years old. I attended non-Christian studies and was not successful in my marriage. I was curious to know how followers of Christ pray. Learning about it impacted me, and I wanted to be more committed to prayer. In my old religion, I wasn’t very disciplined with prayers and couldn’t be convinced to follow certain restrictions. I wanted to follow Christ. The restrictions in my life caused me enormous stress and suppression, so I began researching liberation and freedom and how I could become more like the way God created me.
I found pages online where believers ask questions and I understood the doctrine of redemption. When I understood that Jesus is the only way for me to go to heaven, I felt that I couldn’t mix the two faiths. I was also afraid. How could I stay in my community when I desired to go to church? In the end, I decided to believe and put my faith in Jesus as my Savior and prayed to accept the Lord.
