From anger and indignation to faith and peace

My name is Yousef from Morocco, and I am 30 years old. I was not married, and was working as private security guard, but my life was without hope. I went on to Miracle’s North Africa page at a time when I was very indignant and angry due to various problems I was having. I hoped to see a counselor who could help me find some suitable solutions. I had already prepared what I would say when the time came. However, the people at Miracle offered to tell me about God’s love. I said yes, so they actively shared with me the good news of the gospels via picture books, about how and why God came in the flesh. The whole conversation was mutually interactive. At first I wasn’t convinced, so they recommended that I read the gospels for myself in order to understand the stories in all their details. So I did, I read them. Then, when we again reconnected I asked about the cross and the death of the Lord Jesus. Could I really have new life and forgiveness of my sin? When they answered, “Yes! Absolutely!” I prayed and accepted Jesus and believed the message of the gospel, and asked to be discipled. And the people from Miracle asked me to focus on sanctification and to beware of mental distraction. They talked a lot about optimism, positive thinking, and being as diligent as possible, and I became calmer.
